Additional Information
If you’re new to yoga classes you might have a few questions before you join.
A yoga mat can be provided for your first class, after which you will need to bring your own.
You don’t need to wear anything special for class, just comfortable clothes which you can move freely in.
You also might like to bring a bottle of water and a nice blanket to keep you warm during relaxation.
I ask everyone who joins to fill in a short registration form at the beginning of their first class. Please arrive 15 minutes early to your first class so that we can chat through the structure of the session and I can get to know you a little better.
Not at all! Most of my students attend class as a complete beginner. Classes are for all levels and I always offer variations, there will always be something you can do! If you’re feeling a bit nervous about coming to your first class then you might want to try a one-to-one session first, where you can be introduced to yoga in your own space.
Absolutely! This is the perfect reason to come to a class. If you attend a regular yoga class you will naturally develop your flexibility.
There are many reasons why yoga can help you, but to name just a few…
Through the physical postures (asanas) and the practice of controlling the breath you will develop increased flexibility, strength, muscle tone and improved respiration, energy and vitality.
As we flow through our practice, synchronising breath and movement, we create a moving meditation that calms the mind and helps eliminate stress. At the end of class you will feel relaxed, renewed and restored – something we all need in our busy lives!
